32nd Annual University of Toronto Medical Students Research Day
Faculty members and trainees are invited to join the Judging Committee of the 32nd Annual University of Toronto Medical Students Research Day (MSRD)
The MSRD is a one-day conference that showcases research projects undertaken by University of Toronto medical students, who perform basic and clinical research affiliated with research centres of Toronto.
This year, the MSRD-2018 will be held on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at the Chestnut Residence and Conference Centre at 89 Chestnut Street in downtown Toronto. The program schedule is outlined below. Faculty, residents, fellows, and senior PhD students are eligible to act as judges for MSRD.
The MSRD organizing committee is asking faculty members and trainees to help be poster presentation judges at the MSRD. Approximately six student poster presentations will be assessed per judge that may or not relate to their own academic research expertise. There will be two presentation shifts, as outlined in the program schedule below. Please complete the online form to indicate your interest in joining the Presentation Judging Committee as well as your judging preferences and availability before December 22nd.
There will be TWO judges per poster presentation group (in total, 6 students). Each poster presentation will be 5 minutes long, with 2 additional minutes for questions. Students will be evaluated on a judging form that we will provide. Students with the highest poster presentation rankings from the judges’ evaluations will receive a prize at the closing awards ceremony. Receiving a Best Poster Presentation Award at the MSRD is an honour that is highly regarded amongst medical students.
