Tri-Agency workshops to improve online grants management systems

The three Canadian granting agencies, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), are collaborating on a Tri-Agency initiative to improve the online grants management systems, with an aim to better support the needs of the Canadian research community. For more information on the Tri-Agency Grants Management Solution (TGMS) initiative, please see the TGMS one-pager.

As a part of this initiative, TGMS is engaging users early and often through targeted activities to better understand the research community’s needs. Over the past several months, TGMS has developed journey maps (user process visualizations) through consultation to represent the research community's primary users in the roles of applicants, reviewers, and research administrators. To enhance and deepen the content of the journey maps Tri-Agency is now engaging a larger group of users.

University of Toronto researchers who have previous experience as applicants and/or reviewers for Tri-Agency granting programs are welcome to register for a consultation workshop. Your participation in this workshop would be indispensable for improving the online grant management experience, both for you and your colleagues.

There are two separate workshop sessions scheduled for Monday, January 27th. You are invited to register for one of the following sessions, based on your experience in the roles of an applicant or a reviewer, by clicking on the appropriate registration link:

Applicant workshop

Reviewer workshop

(Note: If this your first time using the EVE registration system, you will be prompted to create a short user profile. After having completed your user profile, you will be able to browse the event calendar or search for the workshop session. Importantly, you also need to REGISTER for the specific workshop date and time by clicking directly on the session you would like to attend).

Please register by Monday, January 13th as spaces are limited.
